...Halloween...
Just when I thought I was all caught up and ready to snuggle up with a few recent pictures...I realized Halloween came and went without an update!...so here is a short recap on our Halloween fun...and this year's Halloween was different in so many ways...
...Kirk was out of town in France on a last minute business trip and the Northeast was reeling from a terrible hurricane that cancelled many Halloween celebrations and devastated families...and we were in a new neighborhood not knowing what to expect...so we invited over Chase's little BFF, Gianna and suited up for the Halloween Parade...
...and my little airplane and tiger were ready to go...and at more than one point, Chase and Gianna were leading the parade...
...the monster butterfly and the airplane were quite a pair...
...and the parade ended with grilled hot dogs to fuel up before the trick or treating...and we needed a little fuel...
...so we went back home to warm up and grab our treat buckets...and the pictures of trick or treating are few because it was an all hands on deck experience...between our smiles and laughter...we were pulling wagons, sipping hot chocolate, juggling treats and convincing sugar high toddlers not to try each and every Halloween Treat...the trick or treating started with the paramedics driving through our neighborhood handing out candy...which was a new one for me...
...and once Chase realized that ringing the doorbell meant someone would come and give you candy, it was ON...the two of them raced to beat the other to ring the doorbell...and when one homeowner wasn't responding quickly enough, our adventurous twosome opened the door and walked in themselves to get their own candy before we could run up and intercept the situation...

...and after an hour plus of trick or treating and tired feet...we decided to head home and call it...
...and Ava and Glenn also got their share of candy...although it is clear that they will enjoy it so much more once they are a little older...
...and we are all still enjoying the fruits of their labor...
...We are praying for the victims of Hurricane Sandy and hoping your Halloween was Happy...
