...Hilton Head 2017...
...hilton head is slowly becoming our family tradition...this is our fourth year in a row...the kids get anxious from the moment they land the year prior about 'next year's hilton head trip' and the familiarity of the beach, the condo, the food....it all sinks back in the moment we arrive....
...hilton head is slowly becoming our family tradition...this is our fourth year in a row...the kids get anxious from the moment they land the year prior about 'next year's hilton head trip' and the familiarity of the beach, the condo, the food....it all sinks back in the moment we arrive....
...and arrive in style we did...
...as my Grandfather, Carroll, always told me....and then later Kirk....'there is nothing like private aircraft'....they both enjoyed their ability to exercise their skills in the air and claim it's the most freeing experience....seems a bit stressful to me....but not back here....
...these little boogers don't get it...but they will...someday....
...our littlest crew member let us know about his experience....
...and in the blink of an eye...or more like 3 hours....we were reunited with Harbour Town and our favorite lighthouse...
...and our little beach bums were wave surfers this year...all three of them...
...to say they kept us on our toes is an understatement...life jackets were required and we had to pull them back towards us more than once...and outside of a small run in with a jellyfish...we enjoyed every second of our beach time this year...
...my little look alikes...

...we have always wanted to try biking hilton head and this year our time finally came...
...and I am not sure who loved it most...
...but it might have been my little mermaid....
...and no trip is complete without a sunset on the 18th green....
...and this year didn't disappoint...
...and no trip is complete without a sunset on the 18th green....
...and this year didn't disappoint...
...and I still need to upload Kirk's to the blog but this one sealed the deal for me....this is my world right here....and disregard Ava's 19 band aids that could have lead you to believe she was attacked by a shark or met her demise with the bike ride....nope, some time bug bites that she wanted fully covered were the simple answer....
...with our ever so gracious host...even if he did ask Pax to hold his beer....
....Mr. Shad thinks of everything to make the trips so relaxing, so yummy and so very fun....we are so thankful....
...and the way home looked a little more like normal....13 hours stretched across two days in a rented minivan that Paxton filled with puke on day one...poor little car sick dude...he can't take more than 3-4 hours but he is so good about it and always gives us a heads up...
...this years stop was Huntsville, Alabama to see real live space camp....
...it was fascinating, exhilarating and so very educational....
...and this pretty much sums it up...with less than an hour to go we finally let our car sick buddy completely re-fuel...and that he did...motion sickness bands on and all....
...another year of wonderful memories and fun....the swimming has never been better...the weather was fantastic as always...the bikes were a fun new addition...and some of our favorite spots continue to amaze....
...this week of disconnecting from work with my five fav's is one of our best weeks of the year only to be reviled by Christmas week....we get the chance to really re-connect, laugh and love....
...until next time Hilton Head thanks for all you do for this clan...
