...Memorial Day and beyond...
...this week started with Chase's Spring Concert at Marquette High School and I had to take the opportunity to snag a few shots of the kids all dressed up...but getting them to look at the camera and smile all at the same time is getting increasingly difficult...
...especially with Mr. Cheese Face...
...and Pretty Pretty Princess and Daddy...
...Chase did great, he sang 'Row, Row, Row your boat' complete with arm and hand motions...
...and his biggest fans were there to see his big performance...
...and then it was time for the long weekend, and what better way to start it than a trip to Mulligan's...
...and we had a visitor in town for the long weekend...POPS!...
...and he got to meet sweet baby Ava......
...and the Murchison Clan...
...the boys can be quite good helpers...
...but boys can also be quite resourceful...I woke up Saturday to this face...and this question in a tone a little higher than normal...'We don't have cupcakes for Breatfast, Mommy?'
....and while I was not happy, I had to turn my head away to shield him from my laughter...
...my buddy was long overdo for a haircut so we went and got some of the curls chopped and he was an angel...and he earned his sucker...
...and unfortunately Pops wasn't feeling too well during his visit but we took the time to stick around home and recharge...and it was the perfect way to spend the weekend...
...Mommy and Daddy even got some fun, relaxing pool time during naps...
...and then it was time for Memorial Day...and everyone knows we love a day that calls for BBQ and beers...but we wanted to teach Chase and Ava the meaning of Memorial Day...so we started with explaining the sacrifices our Soldiers make for our country and the pride we take in our country and our flag...and since they are little munchkins...they showed their pride in the only way they know how...
...but in all seriousness...we are so thankful for the families and the men and women who give so very much so that we can enjoy days like this...God Bless Them...
...the day was completed with homemade ice cream, made with love by Gramma, Papa and Chase...
...and the Blomgren family is rich with traditions...including visits to the Chop Shop restaurants...so we took the last night of Pops visit as an opportunity to introduce Chase and Ava to the tradition...
...and it was a successful evening and ending to a wonderful long weekend...
...Thanks for coming to visit, Pops, we love you...
