...It has been just over a year since this little one popped into our lives in a rush...and we have enjoyed every minute getting to know her sweet smile, her happy personality and her independent spirit...
...and so in honor of her and how she is the perfect compliment to this family, we did one of our favorite things to do in this house...and that is have a PARTY!...we planned and prepared, invited family and friends and and picked up a few things to help us celebrate...
...and I am not great with 'theme's' for parties...so the idea here was anything Ava...hence her trademark pink bow as her cake centerpiece and her lemonade, pink...like most of her things...
...and her party favors, pool related...because my girl loves the water...
...as did all the little girls at the party and one of the Daddies...
...and because we share a Birthday weekend, we decided the Birthday girls needed matching dresses...
...and a sweet moment alone during the festivities...
...and then it was time for cake...she didn't mind her hat near like I thought she would...you can do a lot to her if there is going to be cake as a reward...
...and she was lady like throughout it all...but she didn't leave a morsel...
...and her brother took a break from playing with the others to share some cake...
...and then it was time for presents...
...it was a full weekend of celebrating our youngest family member and she rose to the occasion like I knew she would...she isn't phased by parties, lots of people or loud noises...probably because she lives with Chase...but regardless, her sweet personality is worth celebrating all year long...the emotion of her turning from our baby into our toddler has had me nostalgic for a few weeks...and just as quickly as I miss the newborn snuggles and sighs, I am elated about her steadying steps and her daily new adventures...she has been nothing short of a true pleasure...
