Summer is here..
...the official date was June 21st...and all the things that remind us summer is here are happening...
...like taking in our favorite baseball team with some of my favorite people...Daddy was called in to fly last minute so Gramma and I jumped at the chance to take Ava and Pax to a game...and the evening was perfect...
...clear night with great temperatures...homeruns hit with fireworks displays...
...happy helpful kiddos...
...and visits with Fredbird...
...and the pool is open...and the swimming skills are progressing almost daily...
...he does cry...every once in a very great while...
...and summer means nights spent on the boat...but this family of five plus Marley is beyond pushing the envelope when it comes to how many people can fit on the boat...Kirk lovingly calls it the 'clown car' when we keep parading people and dogs out in the mornings...
...and pushing the envelope to soak up sun and fun is almost a family motto...
...so we have to make a conscious effort to slow down...but packing a bag and heading out to the water is our way of slowing down...and getting away, from the chores of every day life, the dings of the cell phone and the Disney Junior requests, and spending hours outdoors, visiting with friends we have missed all winter long and sharpening our swimming skills...
...summer is my favorite season and I am happy to feel warm down to my bones...summer has arrived...
