Hilton Head

...Hilton Head 2015...

...Last year we were lucky enough to be invited to Hilton Head with Daddy's Company owner, Mr. Shad...and this year, on the five year anniversary of the company, Mr. Shad invited everyone in the office to partake in the awesome week lovingly known in our home as Hiwton Head!...

...so as we did the year before, we planned, made packing lists and checked them three times, and hit the road early Friday morning for Hilton Head Island, SC...
...we made a pit stop in Atlanta for night one...and these three did fantastic in the car for 11 hours on day one...they love to stay in a hotel...and we are at a place where we can easily all sleep in the same room...which is a big break through in our family...for three little minds to be able to settle down after a long day and not jump out of bed or talk endlessly...which truth be told is what happens most waking hours of the day...
...but I'm not going to lie...I love the adventure of a hotel in an unknown city also...the bigger bathtubs...the new restaurants...the snuggling in bed and figuring out the TV channels all together...there is something so comforting about the feeling of turning off the lights and having my whole sweet family together behind the same bedroom door...

...I also love the dramatics of a road trip...seeing the countryside and following the pages in the Atlas as we make progress...talking about each city and state and when or if we have been there before...reminiscing on old times...and then the long anticipated arrival and the real day number one of vacation...
...and the cracking of the first drink knowing that the keys are getting put away for a while...and the exploring into the bedrooms and bathrooms to claim what space will be yours for the next 6 days

...and this was moments after arrival and my littlest isn't in a phase where he warms up quickly to people...but he took to Mr. Shad from day one and wanted to give him five and cheers anytime he was near...
...he also got the chance to really play on the beach...because last year he would sleep in the pumpkin seat daily during beach time...

...and this one loved the water and the beach and was swimming better than ever...there is something about her confidence that gets boosted after a week in the Hilton Head pool...

...and the boat ride was awesome...this time we explored a new island and partook in golf carting, new beaches, and lots of time on the water mingling with Dolphins...

...and of course we saw lots of Greg Russell shows...
...although this year there was a little concern about actually making it on stage...it didn't happen as quickly this year as last...but on the final night...with the large poster in hand....

...the photo shoots on the 8th hole are always beautiful at sunset so it seemed a fitting place to get the big company group photo...but this Momma wasn't going to pass up the chance to get a picture of three little lovies all dressed up...

...and I had to re-create this moment from 2014...because this moment is one that's etched in my brain of six months of together-ness with this itty bitty love bug...
Hilton Head 2014...Paxton Bailey

...but my Bubba is now a Bubba...he is over 30 lbs of love...but my heart still melts at holding my baby in my arms...
...and I've got a feeling that isn't going to change...even as his size does...

...and with that, we packed up and hit the road destined for St. Louis...but this time we made it all the way to Nashville...for Daddy, Chase, Ava and Paxton's first time...and we did all we could in a non-kid friendly town...we listened to music on the streets...we ate the ice cream out of the parlor and we enjoyed a high rise hotel to get some good rest...

...and I can't get enough of these sweet sleep pictures because I know all the energy, excitement and fun that went into creating the exhausted babies that could fall asleep so close to their best friends and not move a muscle at the flash of Momma's camera...
...and one year ago, we let Mr. Shad know that he had made five more fans of Harbour Town and Hilton Head Island...

...and this year, we've grown up a bit...but the smiles and the laughs were the same...

...and my memories of time with my sweet family are at the top of my mind...perfection...just like the setting sun on Harbour Town...

...complete perfection...
