...Kindergarten...
...Well, the day Chase had been waiting for...the day to go to the big school behind the house finally arrived...
...and Kirk and I had attended every new parent meeting, Kindergarten information session, Popsicles in the playground and we were prepared...
...as much as any parent can be to take their kids and leave them all day long...but we had been at Goddard and had great success so our anxiety was pretty minimal...we were actually all three feeling a great buzz as we went to meet the neighborhood kids for a first day picture....
...these have been his friends for a few years now...him and Abby were classmates from the day she moved from Colorado...
...and with all these kiddos going together, it sure made us all feel a little better...this neighborhood has lots of elementary friends...
...and just like that, we were here...
...and he was right at home at his desk...
...and with his teacher, Mrs. LaRocca...
..and honestly, we haven't looked back...he's never loved school more...never gotten better reports and is reading faster and faster each and every day...we have worked daily reading time into our routine and he's enjoying all that school has to offer....
