...Air Show Weekend...
...every two years we get lucky enough that the Chesterfield area sponsors a fair and air show...although it's recently been changed to a STEM show and air show...regardless, we are blessed with a four hour production culminating with the Blue Angels and for my airplane loving family, it's truly one of the highlights of the year...
...Kirks office hosts a BBQ...special passes are printed to allow us to sit on the ramp with some of the planes in the show, and family and friends are invited...
..and family gathers....
...and family rests...
...literally closed his eyes during the fighter jets...but all enjoy...
...and this was Paxton's second show but his first where he could talk...
...and he cannot stop talking about the air show...he can't stop telling us about the planes that fwip ova, the ones that go hiiiiiiiiiifggh and the ones that are so lwwwoud...
...cousins Greg and Bridget even popped in from Chicago to take in the festivities...
...and old neighbors alike...
...it's a true VIP view of the latest, greatest and some of the most historic the military has to offer in aircraft...
...to say my crew is hooked is an understatement...
...Paxton has spent the last week asking, can we go see take owwfff at Daddy's wuerk gain!?!...
...it's just another one of those memories that I'll think cannot be real...how did I get so lucky to find a man with similar passions...one that took it to a whole new level...and has provided experiences for me and our children and family that most adults would wait a lifetime to experience...
...yep, as I reflect, it's time yet again to give thanks...
...to the military who sacrifice so much so that we can have weekends like this...to a husband that makes it all possible...and to my sweet children...to watch the wonder through their eyes...
