...Spring Fever...
After 12 inches of snow less than two weeks ago...we have been waiting for any signs of spring to arrive...and finally, Mother Nature delivered...
...and we soaked it all in as much as we could...Chase started the weekend early on Friday with Grandma and Papa on Friday while we worked and had a day for the books...they went to Bass Pro Shops and brought home a new toy truck...and then lunched outdoors on the riverfront...and this was enough for him to talk about all weekend...but then they went home and watched cartoons and made cookies...he was in heaven...
...and the fun continued on Saturday morning with Soccer...he was very into the drills and even did some great passing with his coach...but by the time it was game time...he was over it...and this year he is playing with Clare and Gianna is there too...so the distractions are many and his love of the game still isn't fully developed...did I mention the field is right by the airport...hard to compete with the helicopters...
...and little sister is almost ready to play...and she is definitely ready for the post game snack...
...and Saturday afternoon we finally made it over to Cousin Barrett's house...which we have been trying to do since he moved in two years ago...
...and a few things that my kiddos love: being outdoors, kicking around the soccer ball, BBQ, and doggies...and Barrett's BBQ delivered them all...and gave them their first real tailgating experience...they decided the back of Barrett's truck was the place to be...so they played, ate and sipped lemonade in the back...I fear there may be remnants of their time there for days to come...
...this one is such a girl...she loves shoes and she is determined at the age of 20 months to decide what shoes she is wearing daily...and right now we go between our twinkle toes and the Thomas Boots..Chase's Thomas Train rain boots that match nothing...but I am beyond fighting it...besides, she is always ready in case a rain storm pops up...

...there were all kinds of places to get into trouble...
...and Aunt Aly Paly was there too...
and with that, we were all tuckered out...so we loaded up, put on pj's and set out for home...but not without our boots...
...Happy Spring...
