...Whirlwind...
...I have to give credit to Kirk again for the blog title but that is what it has been...we do this every summer...we pack fun into every minute and we continue to justify it lately with asking...would we regret more ...if we did it (whatever the latest activity might be) or if we didn't...and we always chose to do it...and the regrets are few, so the justification will continue...
...this week started with a Birthday party at the train store...both of my little Engineers enjoyed...
...and this day had two Birthday parties in store...we are blessed to have places for the kiddos to go and have a great time....but after that it was time to rest up for Father's Day...
...we are so lucky to have so many awesome men in our lives that help shape and develop us each and everyday...this year, Papa and Gramma came over to help celebrate Father's Day with Daddy...and everyone enjoyed the day...

...and Daddy got lots of help opening his presents and cards...amazing how interested they are in the Cards considering they can't read yet...
...and then sometimes Daddy needed no help at all...
...and huggers...
...who can quickly turn mean when it's time for PJ's...
...but after a warm, relaxing day celebrating Daddies...it was time to prepare for a visit from Bambi and Coley Pop, who were coming in from Florida on the way to see their newest Grandbaby in Indiana...Sadie...
...and it is really cool to have them both old enough to remember them from our visit in April...Ava warmed up quickly...
...and Bambi had the perfect surprises...
...new beach towels...Jake and Tinkerbell...we have been curling up with them ever since...
...and new toys from the airplanes movie due out this summer...we cannot wait...and then it was time to put the towels to good use...
...the motorboat game with Bambi is always a huge hit...and Coley Pop makes Chase fly like a rocket...
...we were able to squeeze in lots of fun in 24 hours...thanks for making the stop Bambi and Coley Pop...
...and that day also brought the celebration of nine years of Wedded Bliss for Kirk and I...and an evening out alone...which is always a very nice treat...
...and in the middle of it all, we snuck in a small gathering of 20 co-workers for an afternoon BBQ with a steel drummer...Chase is disappointed he missed this one!...
...and we were up and ready to go early the next morning for Ava's first ever haircut...
...and true to herself...she was a princess...for the first minute or so...and then got frustrated quickly and had to let Bro Bro get his haircut before we could finish the bangs...
...he loves a haircut, mostly because it means a lollipop at the end, but nonetheless, he loves it and was happy to be with Ms. Erica, Mommy's hairstylist for the first time...
....and Ava relaxed enough to finish it off...and she sported her new bangs in a picture by the pool a few hours later...
...and this weekend brought more Birthday's and celebrations...and who doesn't love Best Friends and face paint...
...Carter is the favorite from school...and we have lots of conversations about Carter at home about their daily adventures...
...and we were able to get in some time with our dear friends, who happen to also be our old neighbors...and the kids love it just as much as we do...even if it does involve waiting out thunderstorms for cold swims together...
...and now the week is complete...and as I type this, I'm exhausted...but I'm smiling from ear to ear thinking about all of the experiences Chase and Ava are having at the tender ages of 3 1/2 and 1 1/2 and knowing that I don't have regrets...
...we endure tired melt downs and two year old temper tantrums, sure...but wouldn't we anyway...and we endure restless nights lately with pop up storms that keep popping up at nap time and bedtime...but again, wouldn't we anyway...
...so I will continue with the rushing and packing the schedule...just thinking about trips on the books over the next months including Maine and Disney and a few others...and knowing that it will all be worth it...with the right attitude and my celebrated partner in the chaos, Daddy...it will be oh so very worth it all...
