December...oh, December...

...this December took on even more chaos than a usual one...with a work trip set for an entire week smack in the middle of the month, a trip to visit Uncle Chad prior to Christmas and the normal chaos of the holiday month, this one was one that happened in the blink of an eye...but I must give credit to our party of five...we roll with the punches, we understand the last minute changes and we embrace the time together when we get it...because it ended up being 18 days before we were together in our home throughout the mess of the month...but we packed each and every day with memories...like heading out to see Santa...
...Bass Pro is one of our fav places to see Santa...you can bring Marley...it is a great store and we love to get up near the boat when it is winter....
...the problem was...without thinking...we went the first Saturday he was there....along with the entire population of the county....
...so we enjoyed some candy canes, some shopping...and we hit the road without seeing Santa...and I've got to hand it to the crew...even with wish lists in hand they understaood that waiting two hours was not a good idea....

...fortunately Grammie always saves the day and found a brunch with Fredbird and Santa....Daddy did some research and a weekend later we were sharing our wishes with Santa and getting some photos  taken....

...and Grammie and Papa wanted their Christmas Card in their new sunroom...and I am biased about the photographer but I think it turned out quite well...

...Speaking of Grammie...this little one enjoyed an overnight at Grammie and Papa's and got to see Santa again...

...Our baby Paxton is really coming into his own...he is loving trains...talking up a storm and showing his personality...like the night of my company Christmas party when we got this picture from Ms. Jordyn...

...Bubba doesn't mess around when it comes to doing what he wants or trying to make people laugh...his enthusiasm for fun is refreshing and so like his Daddy....
...he literally jumps up and down when the train comes on...and he learned how to turn it on...how the thing still works is unbelievable to me....
...And California was the greatest trip that was changed, rescheduled and messed with a million times but came together in the best way possible...Daddy and the big kids hit the road to Cali on a 4 hour flight and I flew direct from Baltimore to meet my lovebugs....and a day later we were out boating and enjoying the San Diego Yacht Club....

...and Coronado...and Christmas Boat Parades...these kids live it up!...
...and in the blink of an eye, my Princess and I were up at 5am to head back to STL...
...Daddy demo'ed a plane a day later, Uncle Chad flew to MO with Chase and sooner than later it was Christmas Eve and these three were together again and ready for Church to celebrate the Birthday of "Jewsus!' as Paxton would put it....

...Christmas Eve cookie decorating and celebrating is becoming tradition....

...Christmas morning with this crew is what dreams are made of...Santa did not disappoint with PJ's, scooters, castles, hot wheels garages, trains and a....

...ride on jeep...

...and this picture was snapped while the rest of us were in Cali but I think it sums up December perfectly...

...A warm, wonderful, comfortable month....but full of complete exhaustion....and blessed by family, togetherness and love...
