...Branson and Halloween...

...the annual Branson trip was planned around a long school weekend...we had made that mistake during kindergarten...planning trips without thinking about pulling kiddos out of school...so we double checked this year...made a plan and hit the road on a Friday morning with Grammie and Papa to one of our favorite places in all the world..Big Cedar Lodge...

...we got to ride down with these two...Chase's turn to ride with Grammie and Papa left us with time with these two smiley bugs...
...and arrival day is such a fun day...starting with the lobby Lincoln Logs...and 80 degrees in late Octber helps make it fun too....
...and we brought the new 'dinghy' for fun rides out on tablerock lake...

...Branson is such a great place for kids of all ages...

...spending days with these three people is some of my favorite days...they make me laugh, challenge me, motivate me and consistently make me warm and happy...
...I think we all feel that way...

...I certainly feel this way about these adults too...
...certainly the laugh part...
...everyone got to try their hand at golfing this trip...

...including my bubba ...
...he can't wait to try everything like his siblings...but hooks make me nervous so we used his naptime to get out fishing...

...and although we didn't catch any fish...we had a thumbs up good time out on the water...
...Big Cedar has a lot of fun fall activities including trick or treating on the weekend prior to Halloween...and while I didn't pack their full costumes...dress up gear was enough to earn them some candy and have fun...

...my beauty in nature's beauty...
....the views and picture opportunities are around every corner at Big Cedar...and we didn't take many pictures of the big cabin but this was our first year in a 2 bedroom with a loft...and we love to explore a new place to stay and the kids do great with a bedtime in another place...and it helps that these two often get to sleep together which is a real treat...
...but the ride home left us with the boys...and they too, enjoyed some time together...
...like some funny glasses after our lunch at Wendy's...and the boys first frostys...
...and we made it home in time to start laundry, repack for Daddy and Ava's next day trip to Florida...and get on costumes for Halloween night...
...and these were the real costumes...my Blues Hockey Player, Airplane and Princess Elsa (Frozen Fever Elsa!)...
...and they we laced up the buckets and hit the road...
...Ava was so sweet with her brother...she wouldn't leave his side...coached him up on his jokes and made sure he always said 'tank you!' at each house...and this was his turning point Halloween...after the third house....he came running back to me, Mommy, Mommy...dey are giving me cwandy at every howwse!....

...and the sun set on another incredible Branson trip and Halloween adventure...it was a wonderful weather weekend full of chaos, laughs and love...and really...that is what this life is all about...I keep reminding myself that life isn't about checking things off the list...it's about the journey...

...and I never dreamed my journey would be so richly blessed...

...thank you Grammie and Papa for another great trip to Branson and Big Cedar...

...xoxo...
