...Easter 2017...
...my kids get it a little more each year...but this year was extra special because the older two are really starting to get it...Bambi got us Resurrection Eggs...which told a story and had eggs with things to commemorate each day of the story and holy week...
...it made it all a little more real...and by Sunday both Chase and Ava were chanting...He is Risen Indeed!...and Paxton was walking around the house proclaiming....ya, he isn't died anymo...he's alive!....
...so tying in the bunny...the treats...and pulling it all together...that was our challenge and our fun....
...and we waited until the last minute...to visit the bunny...to die our eggs...but it was actually all timed perfectly...
...because the spirit was high at the end of holy week in this house...
...and that spirit guided us swiftly through an indoor egg hunt this year...
...a hunt that culminated in baskets and gifts...
...and let's just say the gifts were well received...
...and then it was time for church...
...and my family and I are reminded that God gave his only Son so we may be forgiven...and what a lesson...a tough, yet magical lesson that my littles are just beginning to grasp....that we may be forgiven and left filled with nothing but hope for our own futures....we are blessed beyond measure....
