....California Love...

...California Love...

...the family wedding we had been waiting for....even longer than the engagement...was finally here....and the date chosen was perfect....the date of our first born's 8th Birthday....so after weeks' of prep....weekends of pre-celebration in Mexico and Cali...we loaded up the whole clan and hit the road to San Diego...

and got to meet the pilot's along the way.....I tell these three all the time...they are the luckiest kids I know...

...and I was so very nervous to pack for this one...Cali is a long way away and there were a lot of outfits and things to prepare...so I was so happy to arrive with everything we needed and start the festivities....and seeing so much family all together was such a treat...old bonds renewed, new ones made young and old....and the setting was pretty fantastic to reconnect....

...like on a boat ride to the rehearsal....

...Uncle Chad and Aunt Shana are awfully lucky too...they have wonderful friends...and pretty awesome experiences that they shared with each of us over the wonderful wedding weekend....

Finally....not one, but two sisters!

...Engine rooms this big means pretty big boats...

...and the view from our home for the long weekend wasn't too shabby either....

...and who even cares about views when you have your four cousins by your side...even though this park did happen to be in walking distance and overlooking the bay...

...this setting was the perfect spot to pass the time...

...this guy literally partied daily until he dropped...

...and then it was time for the big day...Aunt Tracy led us in a morning workout....what a great place to sweat out the wine and bond over some burpees....Aunt Tracy knows no mercy when it's time to work out...

...and the prep sure was fun....for all ages...

...and the afternoon was sunny, breezy and perfect for the big moments...

...and these two were the most calm, beautiful and happy on their wedding day of any bride and groom I've seen....maybe because of the awesome family by their side...kidding, kidding....

...this crew made sure the party was rocking from the very beginning....

...and I am surely biased...surely....but this guy's speech brought down the house with laughter and sincerity...just like Kirk is....hilarious, direct and super sincere....

...and sunday wedding brunch brought a great gathering of family, friends and Chase's Birthday cake and celebration...

...and then it was time to hit the road....because we couldn't handle any more fun....or late nights...or love....but only because we were so full to the top...

...and this crew scared the back of the Southwest plane....

...but not really....they are getting so much older, more mature and easier to travel with...while they have never been more wild and crazy...they are also easier to reason with so less likely to disturb a plane full...and with awesome, hilarious, beautiful memories like the one below....they were pretty darn peaceful....

...so happy wedding and happy life, Chad and Shana, thank you for a wonderful party, a wonderful celebration and sharing so much of your life with us....
