...T-Day...

....one of our favorite holidays of the year...as a friend recently put it....who knew overeating, too much drinking and no presents would make something one of the greatest holidays of the year...but at this stage in life, it sure makes it fun to celebrate the feast of the Pilgrims so many years ago...

....and one of this families traditions is a visit from Uncle Chad...and Aunt Shana...Chad has spent Thanksgiving with us outside of one for the last 13 years....

...but we have yet to go bowling together...and judging by the competitive nature of this game, the laughs and the fun in the arcade...I can see this becoming another family tradition....

...this year we were joined by Aunt Shana's dad, Phil and his wife, Dee....it was a pleasure to get to know them more and understand all that we shared in common....and play games around this table late into the evening...
...and soup the night before Thanksgiving at Grammie and Papa's is another fun T-Day tradition....we used to go there and bake all the pies...but once we started coming with 6 little hands...Grammie started pre-making the pies or purchasing them...some things are helpful enough to make them worth it....although we thoroughly enjoyed the turkey cake that we got from Schnucks...pre-purchased isn't so bad, I have to say...
...and this hasn't been a tradition but we had some fun enjoying the Blues tickets together with a Blues win....
...and what is a turkey day post without a throw back to Thanksgiving two years ago when Paxton was our centerpiece...not really...but for a moment....
...we are so very thankful....there really aren't words to describe...life certainly challenges us and keeps us on our toes at this phase....but it's also the most fun I have every had in life...busy, stressful and oh so exhausting....but so much fun than I would have ever imagined....so for all of that, we give thanks....
