Vacation 2018

...the vacation posts...the hardest to write...the best pics and memories to relive...and this one combines two vacations....and so many memories....

...vacations with the Tverslands is a tradition started last spring break with a trip to the Kalahari Water park in the Wisconsin Dells....and it was such a blast...we started planning more fun essentially from the moment we got home...

...and the next adventure....was Westover Farms a little over an hour from home...but so far from reality...so far from technology and day to day life....where nature is your only option and the winter weather was perfect for us....

...and we packed enough for a month...but we were all set for morning bloody marys....and what's nature without that?!?!...which was perfect because we were greeted with about 1582 ladybugs in the kids room upon arrival...you can imagine how they reacted to that one....I don't think I'll ever forget Sara taking matters into her own hands with the insects....

...exploring caves...finding streams and oh so much fishing....

...Five Amigos...
...the sunsets on the streams are like no other....truly a picture (and adventure) around every corner...

...and the evenings brought smores, new board games (and laughs like no other), and sleepovers in bunk beds and big beds to avoid the lady bugs that also wanted to sleep in our cabin....
...the time was highlighted by conversations with the kids that don't happen when rushing through life at home....things they had never seen and done before and memories made when vacationing with the best of friends....

...so it only made sense to do it again for Spring Break 2018...

...so we packed up and tried out the newest airport in our area and Allegiant Airlines....and we brought the T's with us to our favorite....Florida....

...and we came in hot...heading straight for Disney from the moment we landed....Orlando traffic is no joke these days but staying at the Contemporary is the GREATEST part of Disney in my book...walking distance to the park and enough Disney right on property to make you feel like you live with Mickey...

...and this was all Day One....

...and we were so ready for day two...shirts and all....thanks to Mrs. T....

....the last ride of the day...the only one we missed...had a three hour + wait....so this is how you enjoy it when you've waited over three hours....

...and after we had our fill...we packed up and headed towards the beach for a night with Bambi and Coley Pop and some fun in the sun....

...the pictures tell stories that words could never tell....a week long adventure of laughs, love, sunshine (a little rain and cold too) and late nights and sleepy mornings....

...can you say Christmas card?!....

...the way these five get along and intermingle is like no other group...they are just close enough that everyone plays with another and far enough apart that sibling rivalry never shows up among them....

...oh and they are wizards in the grocery....they filled this cart up in no time at all....

...a huge thank you for the hospitality from both Bambi and Coley Pop and Pops....they never cease to amaze us with hosting even the biggest of groups with Grace....we absolutely love coming to your wonderful homes and spending time with you in Sunny FL....

...and what will we remember the most....the incredible late night talks and fun....Paxton's hysterical Spring Break spirit...the Kindergarten bond of Luke and Ava....the turn of weather that left us wearing everything we brought...the buffet of Macaroni and Cheese...the incredible boat ride under the big bridges...all the swimming and swimming like fish for everyone.....and so many more memories....until next time....

...Thank you Tverslands' for jumping into this crazy adventure with us and being such great friends....
