Our little slice of Happily Ever After...

...Birthday Party Weekend...

...Someone has been looking forward to his Birthday Party for the last few months...and it is no wonder...with Great Grandparents coming in a day early...14 classmates and friends on the invite list to go to Bounce U and play for two hours...and cupcakes...there was a lot to look forward to for my first born...

 ...and the weekend started with presents for both of my little ones because Great Grandparents never come empty handed...

 ...and then it was time for the big day...so we dressed up...headed over...and struggled to get a good picture together before the guests began to arrive...

...and once the others arrived...it was time to watch the safety video and get to it...

...everyone got involved...everyone...

...and all had fun even though the competition was a little lopsided...

...the slide was a big hit for everyone...

...including my little daredevil...

...but I put these pictures in order on purpose...she had the same fear in her eyes everytime and then marched right back up to do it again...

...and my guy was all smiles...even when it was silly face time...

...this thing was a favorite too...

...and then it was time for us to eat...

...and some were more excited than others...

...Chase saved a spot for his sister...and his best buddy...

...and while I was not surprised about the best buddy...I was shocked he wanted Ava close by...

...and she was his biggest fan when it came time to sing...

..all the Grandpa's enjoyed the food room...

...it really was heart warming how often he asked for his sister to be right next to him...because trust me...it isn't like that at home...

...and then he personally thanked all of his friends for coming and sent them on their way with goodie bags...

...and he should have thanked them a lot...he came home with a load of presents...

...and all this fun got tiresome for not just the kiddos...

...he will kill me for including that but the reality was...it was Kirk who tiptoed over and caught the moment...I'm just documenting it for the kiddos...

...and after a long weekend of fun, it was back to work and back to school...

...but Monday was his actual birthday...so Daddy picked him up early from his classroom where they were already celebrating and took him to lunch...just the boys...and he requested Mulligans...a real family favorite...

...and that night he got a few more sweets and presents...

...like this little surprise...

...Chase and Ava are totally in love...it is from Bass Pro Shops...well, it is really from a used kids sale...I love those...and Gramma surprised Chase with it for his B-Day...they have been playing in there for a straight week...I've found more than I care to share inside the tent...at points it has looked like a bad episode of hoarders...

...but they are happy and my tiny baby...is now four years old and every bit of the size of a four year old...he's in the 93% for height and close behind that for weight...he spells his name, knows my phone number and our address and sings lots of his favorite songs word for word...like the Miami Dolphins theme song...

...he is a blessing in our lives that we longed for...Chase, you light up our lives, warm our hearts and bring smiles to us constantly...

...Happy Fourth Birthday Buddy...
