...Giving Thanks...
...a holiday Kirk has always dubbed as his favorite...one that I have definitely enjoyed...but one that Chase has never done real well with...from his first one with terrible colic that caused him to cry all day long...to his second that started with him sticking his hand on a hot oven rack...it was a bit of a rough road...and Ava's never really had much of an opinion...not that my second born is a go with the flow type personality...she's the complete opposite...but she just hasn't expressed much of herself about this particular holiday yet...
...regardless, 2013 was one for the books...the kids were counting down the days until Bambi and Coley Pop arrived...and with lots lo little moments like these...
...there is no wonder that Bambi and Coley Pop are tops in their books...
...so we continued some great traditions...like bundling up and going to Grandma's and Papa's to make pies the night before Thanksgiving...and enjoying lots of yummy soup at the big table...
...some of the crew was missing Uncle Chad's help with the rotato...
...and then it was time for the big day...
...I must say...fresh brewed coffee, my man outside in slippers working on the bird and the Macy's Day parade starting on TV with my little ones is one of my favorite mornings of the year...
...and a wonderful meal calls for some relazing afterwards...and this little one wasn't the only one to get some shut eye...
...and Friday brings more traditions...like the Annual Blomgren Bird Bash...and Marley had her best year yet...
...and Barrett and Kirk did a great job...the birds were eaten quicker than they could be grilled up...
...and we took the kiddos to the Children's museum for an adventure...and they had a great time...even if Ava did get stuck in the top of this slide...
...fortunately after about 20 minutes the nice worker went and retrieved her...thankfully because this belly wasn't fitting up there..
...and then we were off the Veterinary play area...

...and my youngest just might be on this career path...she loves her doggy like crazy and at any given time you might find her somewhere in the house looking like this...
...and Friday night is traditionally capped off with leftovers together with the Grover's...and this year cousin Lance was in town...
...this was triple trouble on the piano...
...and the five days without work was so relaxing...lots of time in PJ's and time to settle in and smile over nightly concerts with their new Christmas Microphones that help them sing along with Christmas Carols...
...and that is what made this Thanksgiving so great...a whole lot of relaxing, family time and little plans...my idea of perfect...and I am so thankful...
