...Yours in Yuletide...
As I sit down to type, the Christmas tree is sparkling and smelling the entire room of pine, the fire is burning, and the Griswold's are on the background...we are finally ready to settle into 'Christmas Break' and enjoy some serious family time...
...I am loving all of the Christmas cards coming in with updates of friends and families travels and experiences over the last year and the pictures of the kiddos that are all growing like weeds...
...And we are all counting our blessings just a little bit more these days...one week ago, a shooter took 26 lives in a Connecticut school, mostly 5 and 6 year olds...and I can't really write or talk about it yet, other than to say we are so fortunate to have our children...and our thoughts and prayers are with the families dealing with the unthinkable during this holiday season...
Back here, it's been a busy few weeks...lots of holiday parties meant some extra time with Ms. Roxanne and Ms. Taylor who is home from college...it's also meant longer work hours for Mommy and Daddy trying to wrap up the year...and Chase was wrapping up another fun basketball season with Coach Mike...
...He scored 8 baskets in his last game...an all time high for Chase...
...and we have rushed to get haircuts and grab quick breakfasts at the Schnucks we can walk to from our house...and who doesn't love a candy cane donut...
...I did get some fruit to go with this meal to keep it from being a total nutritional failure...
...and we kept the Christmas tree tradition alive...the whole family goes to pick the tree at our Church's tree lot...followed by decorating, listening to Christmas music and eating pizza...
...this may be the last time you see this truck...we are trading it in for a newer SUV next week...
